Ideas League has been launched to get young people starting up their own businesses, social enterprises, events, community projects and digital developments. We want to help them develop the creativity, resilience and know how they will need to navigate the complexity of the modern world. By bringing them together to develop the local economy, the local community and the local experience we hope to change some the attitudes surrounding the borough. Weymouth and Portland has been highlighted as having a ‘poverty of aspiration’ and is ranked poorly on the quality of life surveys just published. By bringing youngsters in touch with mentors from across the area and beyond we believe that we can start to make an impact on these issues.

Our little ad for the Ideas League which launched recently. Thanks so much to all of the kids, teachers, mentors, speakers, admins, sponsors, caterers, our hosts #Weymouth pavilion and to Baron for doing an amazing job to get it all to this point! More images/video from the event soon. A fire has been lit!

Leading up to the launch we asked some young people to help us explain what the Ideas league is and how it can help democratise and support this generation going forward.
