Officers are issuing an image of a man they would like to speak to following a racially aggravated public order incident in Bournemouth.

At around 9am on Thursday 22 April 2021 the victim – a local man aged in his 50s – noticed a man with a dog near to Boscombe Pier. It is reported that the man kicked his dog, before the victim asked him to stop.

A verbal altercation occurred, during which the man was racially abusive toward the victim and another member of the public that was in the vicinity.

Officers attended and carried out a search of the area for the man with the dog, but he was not located.

Police Constable Cameron McGlone, of Bournemouth police, said: “Following enquiries, I am now in a position to release an image of a man I would like to identify. I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.

“Dorset Police does not tolerate incidents of hate crime and we will carry out a thorough investigation into this report.”
