October heralded the launch of Dorset Mind in Sherborne, with over 100 guests attending a reception to hear about the charity’s plans over the next few months.

The guests all enjoyed canapés and light refreshments while the Dorset Mind CEO, Marianne Story told the audience more about the charity and the issues it faced in the area.

The strength of feeling in the area was shown but the local sponsors who covered many of the costs of the evening.

Special thanks went to Battens, Hunts Food, Abbey Pharmacy, Vineyards of Sherborne, Marketing West and Anna Styles Pottery, who each contributed to the evening.

Said Mike Hewitson of the Abbey Pharmacy, “We wanted to do all we can to help Dorset Mind. They are focusing on issues that are prevalent in today’s sociality and we, along with a range of local businesses, will do all we can to help them.”
