Poole Councillors had a golden opportunity to vote to ask the Health Secretary to rethink plans to close the A&E Department and maternity services in Poole.

Unfortunately the Tory group on Poole Council voted not to debate the issue tonight and have demonstrated yet again that they have no desire to fight to save Poole A&E.

The people of Poole deserve better than this. The Tory MP for Poole, Robert Syms has nothing to say on the issue and the Tory Councillors on Poole Council have failed once again to act in defence of Poole Hospital.
