13 year old girl hurt in collision in Charmouth

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward as they investigate a collision in Charmouth.

Dorset Police received a report at 4.18pm on Sunday 6 August 2023 of a collision in The Street, near to the junction with Lower Sea Lane, involving a red Suzuki Splash and a pedestrian.

Officers attended, along with the ambulance service, and the pedestrian – a 13-year-old girl – was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that were not believed to be serious.

Police Constable Mike Rumsby, of West Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to speak with anyone who saw what happened.

“I would also urge motorists who were in the area to check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
