Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an alleged assault in Lyme Regis.
It is reported that a fight occurred involving two people outside The Royal Standard pub in Marine Parade at around 12.45am on Saturday 4 April 2026.
Two men reportedly intervened and were subsequently assaulted.
A man aged in his 30s sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. A second man, who is aged in his 20s, sustained injuries and was treated by the ambulance service.
A 16-year-old boy from the Lyme Regis area has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Sarah Hodgson, of Dorset County CID, said: “An investigation is underway and a cordon is in place while an examination of the scene is carried out.
“I would urge any witnesses who were in the area and saw what happened to please get in touch.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood policing team can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.”
