16-Year-Old Poole Boy Arrested Following a Collision That Leaves Woman With Serious Injuries

Officers are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage to come forward following a reported fail-to-stop serious injury collision in Bournemouth.

At around 8.05pm on Sunday, 25 January 2026, a collision occurred involving a pedestrian, a black Honda NSC 110 scooter and a stationary BMW that was parked outside Tesco Express on Charminster Road.

The pedestrian – a local woman aged in her 60s – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

Officers attended and it is reported that the rider of the motorcycle fled the scene. Following enquiries, a 16-year-old boy from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to speak with any motorists who were travelling along Charminster Road and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
