18 Year Old in Serious Condition Following Collision in Dorchester

Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The incident happened at around 6.44pm on Monday, 16 March 2026, at the junction of Cornwall Road, Maumbury Road, Great Western Road and Damers Road and involved a lorry and a motorbike.

The motorbike rider – an 18-year-old man from the Weymouth area – was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with officers to please come forward.

“Also, I am keen to hear from any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
