Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an assault in Dorchester.

At around 1.50am on Sunday 6 September 2020 officers received a report that a woman had been assaulted by a man and woman in the Co-op car park on Trinity Street.

The victim – a 19-year-old woman from Bournemouth – was knocked unconscious and sustained an injury to her head. She was taken to hospital for treatment by the ambulance service.

The man is described by witnesses as Arabian, approximately five feet eight inches tall with a beard. The woman is described as aged in her late teens or early 20s and of slim build with shoulder-length auburn hair. 

Police Constable Stuart Smith, of Dorchester police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with information about who was responsible to please contact Dorset Police.”
