Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a serious road traffic collision in Poole.

At 5.35pm on Sunday 13 February 2022, Dorset Police was made aware of the collision near to the junction of Station Road and Church Road in Ashley Cross.

As a result of that collision, a 32-year-old male pedestrian suffered serious injuries and is in a critical condition at Southampton General Hospital. His family is aware and is being supported by specialist officers.

The road remains closed while police conduct detailed investigations into the circumstances of the collision.

Inspector Craig Tatton, of the traffic unit, said: “At this time it is not exactly clear what happened during the incident.

“I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or was in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage.

“I am particularly keen to speak to a potential witness who was driving a white hatchback car and stopped to speak to another motorist at the scene.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/do-it-online, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 13:435. Alternatively, to stay 100 per cent anonymous, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or call Freephone 0800 555 111.
