Tessa joins sixth women’s cancer challenge after herself having brain tumour in 2015.

Tessa Murphy was diagnosed with a brain tumour in May 2015 and underwent surgery in July 2015. She feels very lucky as her tumour was benign and has joined a challenge raising funds for three charities supporting women who have been less fortunate. In the sixth Women V Cancer challenge she will be challenging herself as part of a women-only team of cyclists riding through Vietnam and Cambodia to support the work of three charities: Breast Cancer Care, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, and Ovarian Cancer Action. She will cycle around 400kms over six days both on and off road this November. It will be a journey of fun, friendship and support as women of all ages and from all walks of life come together to challenge themselves for a great cause.

As well as training hard Tessa needs to raise a minimum of £3200 to support the work of the Women  v Cancer charities and she is asking local people and companies to help her reach her target. Tessa is funding the travel element herself so all sponsorship will go to the charities.

To pledge your support for Tessa either post your sponsorship donation made payable to Women v Cancer CAF to 2 The Courtyard Russell Drive Christchurch BH23 3TN, or telephone her on 01202 473934. Alternatively make an online donation at https://www.justgiving.com/TessaMurphy1
