A man is due to appear in court in connection with an alleged assault in Poole.

It was reported that at around 9.35pm on Wednesday 15 June 2022 a man aged on his 20s was riding his bike along the pavement on Ashley Road near to Nuudle Bar when he was pushed against the wall by an unknown man.

It was also reported that the man threw the cyclist’s bike into the road, causing damage to it.

The cyclist sustained an injury to his shoulder that did not require medical treatment.

Following enquiries by officers and an image appeal, a 68-year-old Poole man attended for a voluntary police interview. He has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday 9 December 2022 for offences of assault, criminal damage and using threatening or abusive words of behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
