Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following an alleged assault in Poole.

At around 4.05pm on Monday 18 April 2022 a grey Toyota pulled over on Alexandra Road. It is reported that an altercation occurred involving a male driver and female passenger while they were both inside the vehicle.

Officers attended and a 72-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The victim and arrested man are known to each other.

Investigations Officer Dean Smith, of Bournemouth police, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened to please come forward.

“I would ask motorists to please check their dashcam for any relevant footage that may help my investigation.”
