Officers investigating a report of a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Dorchester are issuing an image of a vehicle that was believed to be involved.

The incident occurred at around 8.50pm on Thursday 15 June 2023 in Kings Road. A 13-year-old boy was riding his bike when he reportedly had to take evasive action to avoid a collision with a yellow car.

There was no direct contact with the car, however, the cyclist came off his bike as a result of the incident and sustained a broken wrist.

It was reported that the car, believed to be a Honda Jazz, did not stop at the scene.

Police Constable Matthew Wellaway, of Dorset Police, said: “We are conducting enquiries into this incident and making efforts to identify the driver of the car involved.

“We have obtained an image of the car and I am appealing for anyone with information regarding the identity of the driver to please come forward.”
