Officers investigating a serious injury road traffic collision in Poole are making an appeal for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

The single vehicle collision occurred at around 9.15am on Wednesday 9 August 2023 involving a silver Citroen C5 in Herbert Avenue at the junction with St Aldhelm’s Academy.

The driver of the Citroen – a local man aged in his 60s – was taken to hospital for treatment in a serious condition.

Police Constable Steve Eastwood, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are conducting enquires to find out what happened and I am appealing to any witnesses to please come forward.

“I am keen to speak to motorists who were travelling along Herbert Avenue and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
