Officers investigating a series of criminal damage incidents in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

It was reported that at least five cars had their tyres slashed while parked in a communal car park outside a block of flats off Dorchester Road in the Lodmoor Hill area between Monday 27 November and Monday 4 December 2023.

Police Community Support Officer Sonny Scadden, of the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Some of these incidents have occurred during the evening but others have also occurred during the day and we are carrying out various enquiries to try and identify who is responsible.

“I would urge anyone who has witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or anyone with information regarding the incidents, to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55230189239. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
