Officers are appealing for help from the public to find a missing man from Portland.

Mark Smith, aged 36, was last seen on Thursday 26 September 2024 in Portland Road in Weymouth. He was in contact with a friend on Saturday 28 September 2024 and was believed to be going camping.

Mark is described as five feet 11 inches tall and of slim build with very short dark brown hair. It is not known what he was last seen wearing, but he is usually in jeans, a black woolly hat and a camouflage-style jacket.

Inspector Matt Bradley, of Dorset Police, said: “Mark has not been seen or heard from in a number of days now, which is out of character for him.

“Our concerns are growing for Mark and we would ask anyone who has seen him, or a man matching the description given, to please get in touch.

“Mark – if you see this appeal, please contact us or your loved ones as we all just want to make sure you are OK.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Mark’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240154334.
