Officers investigating an attempted burglary at a business near Sherborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 5.25am on Sunday 20 October 2024, Dorset Police received a report that a light-blue Seat Salsa car had collided with the wall of the Argos store at the Peel Centre on Babylon Hill in Yeovil.

The offenders subsequently did not manage to gain entry to the store and fled the scene shortly afterwards.

Police Constable Jack White, of Dorset Police, said: “I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with relevant information that might assist our investigation.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who was near the store and witnessed any suspicious activity at the time of the incident, as well as any motorists driving in the area of Babylon Hill who may have captured relevant footage on their dashcams.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55240161576. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
