Let’s start with Sean.
Dorset man’s story of surviving prostate cancer and his message to us all
On average, men will die 4.5 years earlier than woman and for reasons that are largely preventable.
Movember has come up with 5 simple ways that men can look after their health:
- Spend time with people who make you feel good –Â stay connected with friends and family.
- Talk, more – you don’t need to be an expert; giving your time and listening to somebody can be life-saving.
- Know the numbers –Â prostate cancer usually develops slowly, but there are some symptoms to be aware of. Contact your GP and get tested if you are experiencing any symptoms or are worried.
- Check your testicles regularly –Â get to know what’s normal and go to the doctor if something doesn’t feel right.
- Move more –Â add more activity to your day and do more of what makes you feel good.
