Members and visitors are invited to Upwey Village Hall at 7:30pm on February 15th for Weymouth Astronomy Club’s annual Open Evening. Besides a variety of displays, club members will be on hand to advise about buying and setting up a telescope.

As asteroid 2012 DA14 will also pass Earth on the same evening, we hope to be able to go out and observe this ‘near miss’.

The evening will conclude with a talk about the formation of craters and what’s on in the night sky.
