Under railway bridge, Damers Road, Dorchester.
A ‘good graffiti’ project wall will be launched in Dorchester this weekend.
The wall is under the railway bridge along Damers Road, Dorchester.
Dorchester artist Peter Sheridan will be leading the project between 10am and4pm on Saturday 25 January.
It is part of a 6-month street art project set up by district council Chairman Gillian Summers in November 2013.
It aims to reduce vandalism and damage caused by unsightly graffiti and tagging by channelling the talents and energy of people who want to do graffiti into something positive.
Blank walls have already been set up at Simons Road, Sherborne and The Trick Factory, St Michael’s Trading Estate, Bridport.
Each wall displays the project’s logo so those wanting to produce the art can do so in an acceptable environment.
Project updates are available on Twitter and Facebook by following @goodgraffitiWD on Twitter (www.twitter.com/goodgraffitiWD) or liking the good graffiti Facebook page (www.facebook.com/goodgraffiti).
Cllr Summers said: “I’m really pleased Network Rail has encouraged our project and provided a wall in Dorchester for people to showcase their talents on.
“The project has been going really well so far and it has been really great to see the effort that has already been put into the designs in Bridport and Sherborne.”
The competition will finish in April, with an award ceremony and prizes given for the best pieces of work.
