Bournemouth University is hosting a filmed debate on the Euro Elections 2014.

Young voters and Dorset residents will have the opportunity to question their prospective MEPs standing in the May 22nd 2014 European Union Parliamentary Elections within the South West.

The hustings will take place on Thursday 15th May 18.30pm- 20.30pm.  Tickets are free but places must be booked through https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/bournemouth-university-euro-elections-2014-debate-tickets-11371110297?aff=efbnen  

Candidates are: Ashley Fox (Conservative), Mark Chivers (Green Party),  Dr Julia Reid (Ukip), Jay Risbridger (Liberal Democrat) and Glyn Ford (Labour). Mark is a member of South East Dorset Green Party and also one of the MEP candidates for the South West.

Topics will include, but not be limited to: Why should people vote? What does the EU do for young people?   Should there be a referendum  on the European Union?   Ukraine, Syria and current conflicts.  LGBT and human rights.

Questions may be submitted in advance, and although the debate will be open, some of these will be asked in the style of BBC Question Time.
