Working once more with Artsreach, Dorset’s rural touring scheme, the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s Resonate Strings quintet will be performing a ‘Summer Serenade’ for one special night in North Dorset this July, at Bourton Village Hall. The five gifted musicians who make up the BSO Resonate Strings each represent one of the five string sections of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra itself.

This engaging ‘Summer Serenade’ programme will reflect the wonderful diversity of the classical string repertoire and will feature music from across the centuries. It will include music from masters of the Baroque period including Bach, Vivaldi and Pachelbel, Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik and more contemporary classics composed by Holst, Copland, Scott Joplin and Karl Jenkins. Andrew Burn, Head of Projects at the BSO, joins the Resonate Strings to guide the audience through this fascinating musical repertoire.

With tickets sure to be in demand, early booking is recommend for this concert, set to be a highlight of the Artsreach summer season.
