Now in its 15th year, the show promises to be another high energy occasion, offering over 1500 visitors’ great entertainment and information on attractions and events that can be enjoyed throughout Dorset in 2015.

Popular features of the 2015 show will include the Tall Ship Pelican, Nothe Fort Re-enactment Group, Dorset Volunteer Group and the Avon Beauty Bus.

There will be a full programme of live entertainment on the Weymouth Pavilion stage throughout the Show with live performances from, WOW, Ed Hintz, Let’s Dance, Dorset for Singing and an Asda George fashion show. There will also be lots of fun for youngsters with Captain Stupid the clown.

Weymouth & Portland Borough Council Tourism and Culture brief holder, Cllr Rachel Rogers said: “The Best of Dorset Show is a tremendous opportunity to celebrate and showcase all that is great about Dorset. This unique annual event offers local business and attractions an excellent opportunity to promote their services and boost their business.

“We are delighted to have a great line-up this year with wonderful performers. I would like to thank Epic Printing for their print support and the support of the new management team at Weymouth Pavilion”.

Exhibitors likely to return to this year’s show include: Abbotsbury Tourism Ltd, Asda, Avon Beauty Bus, Blue Mile, Epic Print, Just Racing / Challenge Weymouth, Lets Dance, MV Freedom, Nothe Fort, RSPB, Sand world, SLM Weymouth Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, The Tank Museum, The Utility Warehouse Discount Club, Treasure Trails Partners, Weymouth Bay Holiday Park, Weymouth BID Ltd, Weymouth District Model Engineering Society, Weymouth and Portland Fairtrade Forum, Weymouth and Portland Scouts, WOW Youth Theatre and Weymouth and Portland Model Boat Club.

The theme for the Best of Dorset Show is ‘Sport and Wellbeing’. The Show will showcase some of the area’s great sports events and challenges that will be taking place in and around Weymouth and Portland throughout 2015. Encouraging the local community to be inspired into a healthy active lifestyle. There will be information on many local sportsactivityevent providers and opportunities to take part in many fun runs, bike rides, and water sports, within the many marvellous cycle paths, bridleways coast paths, beaches and bays throughout Dorset.
