‘The Anti Depressive’

Depression comes from the conscious within,
All consuming frustration let the tears begin,
Head pounds at artillery barrage pace,
Cold hands pressing into red contorted face,
With anguish doubt pain and fears,
One continuous scream from brain to ears,
Mentally falling oh please let it stop,
Or will brain hit the ground with a sickening pop,
Don’t need to keep spinning around and around,
Need to unchain this mind that is bound,
Why the darkest of thoughts and the thunderous pain,
What have I done to deserve this again,
We have only one life we are meant to have fun,
Not to reject but to embrace the sun,
Longing to see the life giving light,
The one that warms that shines so bright,
Mentally cast off set sail with hope,
Leaving behind the I cannot cope.
