Turbo Dynamics support Seawork 2015

Last week saw the Seawork International event, hosted locally at the ABP Port in Southampton, take place. Seawork International is a “hugely significant event for all sectors of the marine industry” says Elizabeth Jarrold of Turbo Dynamics. The exhibition hall was jam packed with companies from around the world showcasing their latest products ranging from gadgets and on-board safety devices to revolutionary technology and heavy-duty pioneering machinery, along with an array of vessels of all shapes and sizes lining to harbour.

The Seawork International event is “the largest and fastest growing international commercial marine and workboat exhibition and conference held in a European working port environment”.  There were a number of ‘stand-out’ displays at the 2015 event including MDS Marines who chose the event to debut their monstrous award winning outboard turbocharged diesel engine which they call “the first commercially viable diesel outboard engine.” The engine received the Sea Work award for the most innovative entry in the Power & Propulsion category at the exhibition.

Poole based Golden Arrow Marine, who are customers of the turbocharger specialists, Turbo Dynamics, also chose the event for the UK debut their Moteurs Baudouin range, including a 31.8ltr V12 – 12 M26.3 Marine Diesel engine. The units were coated in a striking blue and attracted a lot of attention from visitors at the event.

Turbo Dynamics, as marine turbocharger specialists, are long-time supporters of the Seawork International Initiative and have previously exhibited at the maritime focused event. The Christchurch based company not only supply brand new, genuine OEM turbochargers by also provide a reputable after-market turbo service including repairs, overhauls, servicing and upgrading for a large range of leading manufacturers including the likes of ABB, Napier, MTU, Volvo Penta, Yanmar, MAN and Garrett.

Business Development Manager of Turbo Dynamics, Stuart Flanagan, said: “Seawork International proves year after year to be an invaluable business event. We have had a great time catching up with some of our customers including Golden Arrow Marine, Mitchell Power Systems and the Aluminium Boatbuilding Company as well as meeting lots of new companies. Being based in Christchurch it is great to have such a key event happening right on our doorstep – we are already looking forward to next year which will see the event move to the Southampton Town Quay.”
