On Good Friday (25 March) the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus and Youth Chorus with Southern Sinfonia Baroque present J.S Bach’s iconic masterpiece, St John Passion at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts.

Conducted by Gavin Carr, with Evangelist James Oxley and Christus Stephen Gadd, this work is noted for its dramatic sweep and emotional immediacy in the recounting of events leading to the crucifixion of Christ. The piece will be performed in English and features the vocal talents of Erica Eloff (soprano), Maria Elliott (alto) and Darren Jeffrey (bass).

With almost 200 performers on stage, this event promises to be a spectacular way to begin the Easter weekend.
