Des Simmons, chairman of Bournemouth’s Tourism Awards and Managing Director of Bournecoast said: “In 2016 we saw almost 500 guests attend the awards which was a remarkable achievement, we also had more entries, nominations and guests in attendance in the decade long history of the awards. This year we have broken even more records by receiving the most nominations and entries than previous years, as well as the four voting categories receiving a total of over 4000 votes so far! It’s great to see more and more people getting involved with the BTAs each year.

The awards pay tribute to all of those who deliver an outstanding contribution to the overall  tourism and leisure offering in the region, take a look at the opportunity as there is something for every service industry, from retail and customer service, new initiatives, up and coming industry professionals, and more. The Bournemouth Tourism Awards are the place to be to make new contacts, network and have a superb time, as well as celebrate the successes of the champions in the industry.”

The 2017 awards will be a glittering black tie event and this year will also include the brand new additional category known as the ‘Green Initiative Award’ sponsored by Waste Management Facilities. Anyone can be nominated for an award by the public or suppliers and the winners and finalists are generally based in the BH post code or if located outside the area the business will have a direct impact on tourism in Bournemouth.

The event of the year and a great night of fun – be sure not to miss out and book your tickets today!

There is still time to enter and nominate your favourite businesses, the deadline for applications is the 10th January 2017, visit the BTA website for more information www.tourism-awards.co.uk/bournemouth
