Brewery Square in Dorchester is encouraging people to Walk for Weldmar on Sunday April 23, to help raise funds for Weldmar Hospicecare.
The 7km walk starts at 10am from Anytime Fitness in Brewery Square. Participants will walk to Maiden Castle and then continue back to Simon’s Delicatessen in Brewery Square. Free refreshments will be available on return at Simon’s Delicatessen, including tea, coffee, squash and a variety of cakes.
All proceeds raised for the charity walk will go towards Weldmar Hospicecare, helping people with life-limiting illnesses living in Dorset.
Jasdeep Thandi, director at Anytime Fitness Dorchester, commented: “We encourage the whole community to come together and support this great cause. After the walk, there will be a raffle and plenty of other fun activities for everyone to get involved in.”
Matt Smith, fundraising manager at Weldmar Hospicecare, commented: “We would like to thank Anytime Fitness in Brewery Square for organising this fundraising event in aid of Weldmar and for continuing to support our cause throughout 2017.
“To enable us to continue providing our services free of charge across Dorset, we rely on the generosity of the local community and businesses. All the money raised will help to be there for people who require our care in the future.”
