Officers searching for a missing man who is believed to be in the West Bay area are asking for the public’s help to find him.

Kevin Norminton, 43 and of Crewkerne in Somerset, was last seen on the morning of Tuesday 8 May 2018 when he left his home in his silver Ford Focus.

His vehicle has since been located in a West Bay car park.

Kevin is white, six feet tall, of stocky build and with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and brown trainers. It is not known what top he was wearing.

Chief Inspector Rob Chalkley, of Dorset Police, said: “We believe Kevin has been very upset recently and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We are focusing our searches for Kevin on the coastline around West Bay, so the public can expect to see a continued police presence in the area today.

“Colleagues from the coastguard, NPAS helicopter and volunteers from Dorset Search and Rescue continue to assist the operation, which has been ongoing since yesterday afternoon.

“I urge the public to get in touch with us as soon as possible if you see anyone matching Kevin’s description.

“I am also appealing directly to Kevin to contact us, your family are very worried and want to know that you are safe and well.”
