From today (Monday 6th January) I will undergo a three day investigation by the Standards & Ethics Committee of Cardiff Council for standing up for a kid who was alleging abuse at a private care home. It’s just part of the wider witch-hunt against me.
Investigated for investigating child abuse
Next week I will undergo a three day investigation by the Standards & Ethics Committee of Cardiff Council for standing up for a kid who was alleging abuse at a private care home. It's just part of the wider witch-hunt against me. When a child alleges abuse in care I will do whatever it takes to put an end to it. But these unelected upholders of standards would rather I kept my mouth shut. Maybe they’d prefer if Cardiff was the next Rotherham or Rochdale. I won’t let that happen. God knows there are some terrible parents out there but there is also discrimination against working class families, where their kids are taken into care far too often because it makes big money for these private care homes. And if we want to talk about standards in Welsh politics, we’ve got Assembly Members convicted of drink driving, of being paedophiles and who knows what else we don’t know about. We even had a Standards Commissioner who had to resign because he was caught on tape by me being sexist. But I’m the one constantly being dragged before standards committees. The truth is the establishment doesn’t like the movement that we’re creating. We’re cleaning up this cesspit of people who claim to represent us and they’re going to get a rude awakening at the next elections and they know it.

On my way into the hearing against me, set up because I stood up for a kid that was alleging abuse in a private care home. Thanks to the brave victims of abuse who had travelled hundreds of miles to support me. It really means a lot.
