We need to all read Akala, Maya Angelou, James Baldwin and the hundreds… of other black writers… and listen to and hear what they have to say. Listen to what is experienced and try at least in part to see the world through their eyes. Let them speak without interrupting.

We must not pretend to understand other people’s perspectives.

Each of us is a resource to learn from.
