A man arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Poole has been released from the investigation.

A 5.39am on Sunday 6 December 2020 officers received a report from the ambulance service of a sudden death of a 44-year-old woman from Poole at an address in Cashmoor Close.

A 46-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of murder and was released under investigation. He has now been released from under investigation without charge.

An initial post-mortem took place on Sunday 6 December 2020 but the cause of death has still not been fully ascertained and continues to be treated as unexplained. 

Detectives continue to liaise with the pathologist pending further testing to establish the cause of death. There is nothing at this stage to indicate the death is suspicious.

The family of the woman continues to be updated with developments and are being supported by specially-trained officers.
