Officers investigating criminal damage to vehicles in Poole are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 10.30pm on Monday 17 May 2021 a man was seen trying car door handles in Garland Road and Joliffe Road. He was challenged by a member of the public who saw him looking into his vehicle and walked away.

The next morning it was discovered that two vehicles had been damaged in Garland Road. One had scratches to the bonnet and a brick had been thrown through the back window of the other car.

Police Constable Sophia Winborn, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into these incidents and I would urge anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity on the night of Monday 17 May 2021, or who has any further information that might assist our investigation, to please come forward.

“I would also urge residents or motorists who were in the area to check their home CCTV or dashcam footage for anything of relevance.

“Finally, I would ask that anyone else who has had their vehicle damaged in the area please reports it to us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55210078052.
