Officers investigating a racially aggravated assault in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Between around 3.25pm and 3.30pm on Tuesday 28 September 2021 the victim, a woman aged in her 40s, was walking behind a silver car near to Tesco Express on Wallisdown Road when the vehicle reversed and struck her legs.

The driver of the silver vehicle was then racially abusive toward the woman. He drove off in the direction of the junction of Kinson Road and Wallisdown Road.

The victim did not suffer any serious injuries.

The male driver is described as white and of slim build with short blond or brown hair.

Police Constable Chelsie Reilly, of Poole police, said: “Dorset Police takes all incidents of hate crime very seriously and we are carrying out a full investigation to identify the man responsible for this offence.

“I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have captured anything relevant on dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
