Officers investigating a fail-to-stop serious injury collision in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
Dorset Police received a report at 10.38pm on Sunday 3 October 2021 of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Poole Road.
It is reported that the vehicle, possibly a red Citroen C2, failed to stop at the scene.
The pedestrian – a man aged in his 20s from Bournemouth – was taken to hospital for treatment. He sustained broken ribs and a fractured pelvis.
Police Sergeant Sarah Jones, of the traffic unit, said: “An investigation is underway to locate the vehicle and driver involved, including assessing CCTV footage.
“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened, or may have relevant dashcam to assist my enquiries, to please come forward.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who is aware of a red Citroen C2 that has been damaged since Sunday and would ask you to please contact Dorset Police.
“Finally, I would urge the driver to please come forward so we can take your account and establish what happened.”
