At approximately 7.45pm on Thursday 21 October 2021 the victim – a local man aged in his 30s – was walking with his young child in a pushchair and his dog on Princess Road at the junction of Silver Birch Close when a man approached him from behind.
It is reported that the man overtook the victim, before punching him twice to the face and walking away in the direction of Branksome.
The victim sustained injuries to his eye and mouth.
The offender is described as white, possibly of Polish or Romanian descent, approximately six feet tall, of stocky build with short shaved dark hair and stubble. He was wearing a white short-sleeved T-shirt with a dark-coloured tribal pattern on the top and down one side and dark-coloured jeans.

“I would urge anyone who was in the area and witnessed what happened to please come forward.
“I am also particularly keen to hear from anyone who may recognise the offender from the description given.”
