Officers investigating a reported assault in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
It is reported that at around 4pm on Wednesday 18 May 2022 the victim – a man aged in his 40s – was walking his dog in Hamworthy Park when he was verbally abused by a group of young people.
The victim was subsequently allegedly assaulted by a male member of the group.
He sustained an injury to his arm and attended hospital for treatment.
Following enquiries, a 15-year-old boy from Poole was arrested in connection with the incident. He has been released on police bail while the investigation continues.
Investigations Officer Steve White, of Dorset Police, said: “We have now obtained a full account from the victim and our enquiries are continuing into the incident.
“I understand the park was busy at the time of the alleged assault and I would urge anyone who saw what happened and has not yet spoken to police to please come forward.”
