Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a woman was bitten by a dog in Wool.

Between 11am and 12pm on Tuesday 24 May 2022 the victim – a woman aged in her 60s – was walking her dog in Cole Wood when three British Bulldog-type dogs approached.

The victim went to put her dog on a lead, but as she was doing so the three dogs started to attack.

She picked up her dog, but the one of the offending dogs latched onto the victim’s arm. Her walking stick was also knocked from her hand and her bag was knocked off. She did not sustain any injuries.

The dogs are described as cream and dark caramel-coloured. The female owner is described as white, between five feet two and five feet four inches tall and of large build with dark thick black wavy hair.

Police Constable Jennie Sykes-Martin, of Dorset Police, said: “I am carrying out enquiries into this incident and would urge anyone who was walking their dog in the area and has information to help my investigation to please get in touch.

“I would also appeal for the owner of the dogs to please come forward so I can take your account of what happened.”
