As can be seen below Latin America is very much left or moving that way. For the neo liberals and their authoritarian personalities this is crushing. So they turn to lies and deceit and make up stories to feed to gullible westerners.
What this media is it telling you, is that Latin America is turning left in places it never has (or not for decades or a hundred-odd years) like in Mexico, Peru, Chile, Colombia now…
These achievements are truly, truly remarkable given the amount of money, arms, soldiers, coups, assassination attempts, direct USA/EU/UK involvement and the media in those countries bring almost exclusively very right wing & neo liberal.
That is because in Latin America, politics is embedded in every community. The reach goes way beyond traditional political parties. Entire movements are there because of decades of grassroots/community work. Colombia going Left is arguably as significant as Brazil going back to the left if Lula wins, but in a different way; Colombia IS the USA in Latin America…so expect some horrific lies, violence and murders to follow. Expect denunciations from the USA, EU and UK. Expect the biggest drug cartels working (as they have before) with the CIA etc to bring down Presidents.
But the main message here is that PROGRESSIVE CHANGE IS CLEARLY POSSIBLE. Because if this is possible in a very poor continent, it definitely is with the riches of western powerhouses. We send our love & Solidarity with the amazing People of Latin America!
