Officers investigating a burglary at a store in Wimborne are appealing for information and issuing images of a vehicle that is believed to be involved.

Dorset Police received a report at around 2am on Friday 9 September 2022 of a break-in at Berties Country Store in Crown Mead. It was reported that entry was forced to the premises and items worth an estimated £5,000 were stolen.

Police Constable Ashlea Gale, of East Dorset police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this burglary and we have obtained CCTV images of a vehicle we believe may be linked to this offence.

“I appreciate the images are not the best quality and we have been unable to make out the registration of the vehicle. However, I am hoping it may jog someone’s memory if they have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area.

“I would urge anyone with information relating to this incident to please contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk/contact or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220147721. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online at Crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
