Remember when Jeremy Corbyn lost the 2019 election thanks to the establishment lies inside and outside of the Labour Party?
Now fast forward three years and guess what? His replacement who is being lined up by said establishment to become the next PM is about as trustworthy as a rattlesnake in your pillow case.
‘You have broken all of the pledges you made to Labour party members when you were trying to get elected as labour leader. How can you expect the country to trust a single word you say?’
“When I was running for leader, I made pledges reflecting my values. Since then a lot has changed.”
How do someone’s values change so quickly? How does someone go from promising to end outsourcing to the private sector in the NHS one day, to committing to using MORE private sector provision another day? He blames the state of the economy, which on the face of it sounds plausible, but this is of course complete nonsense. Ending outsourcing in the NHS would be FAR cheaper than giving a larger part of the NHS budget to private shareholders.
NHS staff on Twitter are apoplectic right now after Starmer’s comments in this same interview about letting people self-refer to specialists instead of sending them to a GP first to get assessed. They say someone with back pain self referring to a physiotherapist is a waste of resource, when the back pain could be caused by a wide range of things including cancer. By the time that person finally does go to a doctor about the back pain, it might be too late to treat the cancer. This is just one example given to illustrate how stupid Starmer’s proposal is. There is a reason why doctors triage patients, and not the patients themselves. I urge you to get on Twitter and check out what doctors are saying.Â
