Officers investigating a fail-to-stop road traffic collision in Blandford are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

At around 7am on Tuesday 17 January 2023 a collision occurred at the junction of Salisbury Street and Damory Street involving a bicycle and a white hatchback car. It was reported that the car failed to stop at the scene.

The cyclist, a 14-year-old boy, sustained cuts and bruises as a result of the incident.

Police Constable James Prowse, of North Dorset police, said: “The driver of the vehicle involved would have been aware of the impact from the collision with the cyclist but did not stop at the scene.

“We are carrying out enquiries to identify the vehicle involved and I would appeal to anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
