Whatever one’s position one thing is true. The partisan shouting match between the two sides has meant that we have an absolute mess in the UK in which the public and business people have been cheated by a small select bunch of dishonest cronies.
The economy is a mess. Towns and cities are falling apart. The roads are full of holes. Our bills are through the roof. Bigoty is now considered ‘common sense’. Clueless trolls swamp debate and analysis. The climate is killing species by the day. The extremely rich are getting extremely richer. People are drowning their bodies in alcohol and substances to dull the pain of existence. Mental health is now beyond a crisis. Covid has turned us in to lab rats.
Fantasies and delusions are the only thing getting us from one day to the next.
And all the while the well off continue to squabble like rats in a sack.
When we were asked what we wanted did anyone really choose what we got? Seriously, will anyone admit that their fantasies and delusions have been met in 2023?
What a time to be alive.
