Officers investigating a suspicious vehicle fire in Poole are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.14pm on Friday 24 February 2023 from the fire service in relation to a van on fire in Waterloo Road.

The fire was extinguished and following liaison with the fire service it is believed to have been started deliberately.

Police Constable Louis Allen, of Poole police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the relevant time.

“I would also ask residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as motorists with dashcam, to please check their footage for the evening of Friday 24 February 2023 for anything that might assist our investigation.”
