A Man vs Bushcraft… A Recipe for Disaster!

Brand new comic theatre from the Cream of Cornish Tehatre

Alaska, a desolate wasteland at the borderline of civilization… A place where you can easily lose your way, your bearings and your very mind! A land where steam freezes, fish have mastered cryogenics and the Yukon River can make you disappear.

One man goes in search of adventure, freedom and “a piece of the good life”, but soon finds that the reality is no picnic. Plummeting temperatures, technical disasters (and a severe lack of any practical skills) soon plunge our hero into a nightmarish world of extreme survival, haunted by all things living, dead and Athabaskan.

Blackfish Theatre’s highly acclaimed and original new comedy boldly follows in the intrepid footsteps of Bear Grylls and Ray Mears. A masterful trio of Kneehigh Theatre favourites, Giles King, Craig Johnson and Ian Ross, use film, firelight, live music and a whole host of forest wildlife to cleverly transport you into the unknown; Alaska is a tragi-comic riot of Pythonesque dottiness guaranteed to leave you spellbound. Come prepared; it’s going to be wild!
