That’s right Gillian, Muslims do not eat bacon because it is made from pork, which is forbidden (haram) in Islam. Islamic dietary laws, derived from the Quran, prohibit the consumption of pork, except in situations of extreme necessity, such as starvation or being forced to eat it under duress.
