Dorset Wildlife Trust has a wild Easter programme for all the family at Kingcombe this spring. Starting with an Easter Sunday egg hunt, the Kingcombe Centre has activities and wildlife discovery for children throughout the holiday, including a whole day of playing wild with nature for families.
The new Kingcombe Kids Club activities take place every Tuesday and Thursday through the Easter holidays, with a chance to discover everything from Kingcombe’s famous spring flowers or scavenging animals to the tiniest river creatures or the sounds of your own home-made natural wind chime. A bonus for the Easter holidays is The Nature Connection, a full day of exploration through experience and story-telling for families with bushcraft expert Chris Holland. All the Easter events take place at DWT’s flagship environmental education centre set within the Kingcombe Meadows nature reserve.
Victoria Vincent, Dorset Wildlife Trust’s Engagement and Education Officer, said: “This Easter we have an array of events for children and their families to enjoy. The Easter egg hunt won’t be like any ordinary pursuit, it will have a surprising twist! Mum & Dad can enjoy a well-earned rest after the search, relaxing in the cafe and sampling some of our home-made Easter treats, while the children have a go at making their own spring nests and decorate their eggs to take home.”
