We are delighted to announce that we will be re-opening the Swannery from Saturday, 6th June. Following the current Government guidance, we are limiting the number of entries to the Swannery at any one time, so we request that you must book your visit online, even if you are a Season Ticket or HHA card holder. This can be done here: https://abbotsburytickets.co.uk/product/swannery-advance/
The cafe is currently closed, as is the gift shop. We are hoping to re-open the gift shop on 15th June, inline with proposed Government guidance. We are working hard behind the scenes to be able to open the cafe when it is safe to do so, and allowed by Government guidelines.
Enhanced cleaning of toilets will be regularly undertaken. We are restricting the number of hourly entrances to the garden to 60 people, and parts of the Swannery will be out of bounds and activities reduced in order to minimise the likelihood of pinch points and social distancing breaking down. For instance, the maze is closed and the mass feeding at noon and 4pm will not take place with audience participation.
Hourly slots start at 10am, with the last bookable slot being 3-4pm. The Swannery will close at 5pm.
Please check our website over the next 24 hours, as we will be publishing a full and comprehensive list on the measures we are taking to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.
Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens is open from tomorrow, Thursday 4th June.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and patience during this difficult time. We hope that reopening these two relatively large open sites will provide a much-needed respite and a place for relaxation during these difficult times.
