The award-winning marine electronics brand, Actisense has become a Bronze Partner of the Jubilee Sailing Trust, an international sailing and disability charity.

An international and United Nations accredited disability charity, the Jubilee Sailing Trust promotes the integration of people through the challenge and adventure of tall ship sailing. Becoming Bronze Partners of the charity, Actisense in Poole will be offering their support and expertise, which will enable people from all walks of life to take part in the charity’s sailing experiences.

The Jubilee Sailing Trust offers life-changing adventures to people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of physical ability. Sailing voyages range from UK ports to journeys at sea in all the world’s oceans. Voyages aim to change people’s lives by improving self-esteem and building confidence, in addition to developing leadership and life skills.

In the past, Actisense has donated marine electronics products to the Jubillee Sailing Trust and offered technical expertise. They will now be increasing their support and taking part in the charity’s Supplier Days. Supplier Days will give Actisense an opportunity to promote their work, network and boost morale through team building experiences. Actisense Chief Engineer, Andy Campbell and Production Assistant Dominic Lipinski will be the first to take part in a Sailing Day. They will then share their experiences with the rest of the Actisense team.

Danny Thrasher, Head of Sales & Operations at Actisense said:

“We are thrilled to be involved with such an organisation as the Jubilee Sailing Trust. We decided to support the charity because we wanted to give something back to the marine community, especially in an area where we feel we can add value.  Through our Bronze partnership, we will continue to support the Jubilee Sailing Trust and the experience it offers to both disabled and able-bodied people.’’

Based on the south coast, Actisense has established an enviable world-wide reputation within the specialist field of marine electronics. This has been achieved through the design and manufacture of sophisticated marine electronic equipment. Their award-winning NMEA products are exported to over 70 distributors in 40 countries. These stretch as far afield as the US, New Zealand, Iceland, China and now all of mainland Europe.
